Elyse is an Albuquerque-based dancer, choreographer, producer, studio owner, and teacher with 35 years of training and 18 years of professional experience.  Internationally, her choreography and performance have received significant recognition. Run For Your Life was selected as one of just seven works from over 550 worldwide submissions for SOLOCOREOGRAFICO 2024 in Frankfurt, Germany, and her most recent solo, deathprint, received the Audience Award at 

SOLOCOREOGRAFICO 2025 in Lyon, France. Elyse was named a 2025 mentee in the Alleyne Dance Artistic Development Program in the UK, and in 2026 she is invited to attend Anton Lachky’s Dance Intensive Program in Tournai, Belgium. Her international performance credits also include HANNIBAL, the world’s largest site-specific contemporary theater production, staged in Sölden, Austria. 

As the executive director of Studio Sway, a community hub for independent and freelance dance artists in Albuquerque, Elyse offers classes and workshops, facilitates improvisation experiences, and hosts performances, intensives, and artist residencies. She teaches contemporary jazz, Cunningham technique, ballet, and floorwork conditioning, and has guest taught for New Mexico Ballet Company, Keshet Dance, SOLOCOREOGRAFICO, Dance Theatre Southwest, Carmel Dance Festival’s Choreography Fellowship, and The Albuquerque Dance Exchange. 

Elyse is the first choreographer to generate a new work through VESSEL. ‘sparkling bones’ was made in 10 hours over 2 days.
